Urinary tract abnormalities

Urinary tract abnormalities can affect any part of the urinary system, including the kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra. Some of these conditions include:

  • Posterior urethral valves
  • Congenital hydronephrosis
  • Pelvi-ureteric junction obstruction (PUJO)
  • Hypospadias

Dr Thiebaut will use ultrasound, nuclear imaging, fluoroscopic studies and cystoscopy to diagnose the conditions and advise on the best treatment, depending on the severity and type of condition. Patients often require simultaneous management by a paediatric nephrologist.
